A group of hackers believed to be engaging from Islamic Republic of Iran have hacked over fifty firms and organizations pc systems from sixteen countries for the last 2 years.
The attacks, discovered by cyber security firm Cylance, says the businesses targeted by the hackers embrace airports and airlines, universities, hospitals, energy companies, telecommunications, and defense contractors, reports Reuters.
Sources claim that among the targeted companies square measure oil firms Saudi Aramco and Petroleos Mexicanos, in conjunction with airlines Qatar and Korean Air.
In a statement to the United Nations, Islamic Republic of Iran voice Hamid Babaei referred to as Cylance’s allegations “baseless.”
“This could be a unfounded and unsupported allegation invented to tarnish the Iranian government image, notably geared toward hampering current nuclear talks,”
