Host Europe Allegedly Removes Reddit Clone for Politically Incorrect Content





Swiss Reddit clone Voat has moved hosting platforms as a result of its previous hosting supplier, Host Europe, allegedly took its website down for hosting “politically incorrect” content.


An alternative to Reddit, Voat is committed to “no censorship” – a commitment that has served it well and driven a lot of traffic in recent weeks as users leave Reddit con to the platform removing 5 subreddits earlier this month in an endeavor to curb harassment.


German hosting supplier Host Europe is rumored to possess terminated its hosting contract with Voat, citing that the content on its server enclosed “political incorrect elements that square measure unacceptable [to Host Europe].” The WHIR has reached bent on Host Europe for comment and has not detected back at the time of publication.


Voat’s administrator and co-founder, called Atko, claims he didn’t receive any warning before his contract being terminated. in step with Host Europe’s terms and conditions, purchasers square measure to receive “notice of termination in writing so as to become effective.”


Atko’s message to users on Host Europe’s termination on Voat isn’t obtainable and pulls up a 502 error.
